Most Expensive Homes in Ski Resort Markets

Here is a list we assembled of the most expensive homes in Ski Resort Markets

The Ritz Carlton at Beaver Creek

So, I was asked on Twitter by skislopes to identify the 10 most expensive ski in ski out properties in the United States.  When I Googled this item, I was surprised to find the latest list was done by USA Today in 2006

Since then, the inventory of available homes that would be considered most expensive has increased dramatically in all ski areas.  In places like Vail, you were lucky to see one home listed over five million dollars at the turn of the century (2000); now, there is a myriad of properties available in the tens of millions of dollar range.  The other noticeable trend is that the most expensive homes in a particular ski area used to be clustered all in one neighborhood.  Now, it seems that the most expensive properties are based more on character than on the location.  For instance in Park City, the top five priced listed properties occur in all three resort areas in the valley, Park City, Deer Valley and The Canyons.

Take a look at the list of top five that I have taken from Multiple Listing Systems in the higher end ski resort market destinations understanding that a lot of times the "most" expensive house is not formally listed in the MLS.
