California's Ski Resorts come to life this fall

A variety of family activites at California ski resorts

California ski resorts offer some great opportunities for family winter fun. The Lake Tahoe area is especially well-known for its skiing opportunities.

But it's not just about skiing. Family winter activities that can be done with younger children at California ski resorts include:

Sledding
Tobogganing
Tubing
Snow playgrounds

In addition to these options, there is usually some sort of conveyance to prevent you from trudging up and down hills.
