Eagle County February Real Estate Statistics; 2010 Vail Valley Property Sales Up Substantially!

The real estate sales numbers are in for February in the Vail Valley and it looks like a come back could be in the works

Good News abounds for Vail Valley real estate sales for the first two months of 2010.  Just when financial news from the Rockies couldn't get much worse, Eagle County is leading the charge in a real estate comeback with total dollar volume nearly 200 percent higher than the first sixty days compared with 2009 Vail Real Estate Statistics.

And, based on March estimates, the Vail Valley will sustain three months back to back substantial real estate sales volume.  This is not close to the roaring sales we saw in 2007, but it is one indicator that we will see increased sales for the remainder of 2010.

Other things to consider about buying property now in the Vail Valley include:

- All the new resort properties now being completed and becoming operational this summer in Vail Village and Lionshead will most certainly be one of the Valley's driving forces in real estate sales in the coming months.

- There are truly good deals for ski resort properties throughout Vail and Beaver Creek; deals that we have not seen since the early 2000's.

- Interest rates should remain low until late August but will start to increase later this year.

- Pending Home Sales are up nationally and hint at a spring surge in closed real estate transactions.
