Deer Valley, Alta-Snowbird Bring #1 Honors to Utah

Utah ski resorts recognized among the best in North America
Once again, Utah is demonstrating its superiority in the eyes of the skiing community. As ski season gets underway, skiers are flocking to Utah. The 2002 Winter Olympics, held in Salt Lake City and nearby Park City and Deer Valley, put Utah on the map, and Utah ski resort markets are still seeing the results of the gala event.

In doing a story on Utah ski resorts, ABC News offered this about the honors heaped on Utah skiing:

For a third straight year, Deer Valley Resort has been named the No. 1 North American ski resort by a leading magazine, Skiing.

Deer Valley gets high marks mostly for service. For snow alone, Alta-Snowbird ranked No. 1, as it almost always does in major surveys.

The fine, dry powder contributes to the superiority of Utah snow and ski resorts, as does the fact that Utah has a long ski season.
