| April 27, 2009 | | Colorado ski resort towns see biggest drops | Hotel bookings in Colorado have dropped for the first quarter of 2009. Even with good deals, bookings are down. The Denver Business Journal offers this information on Colorado hotel bookings:
Ski resort towns saw some of the biggest drops. Many vacationers are opting for "staycations" to closer locales, so spending the night at a distant ski resort is not as popular. However, as the economy picks up, it is likely that Colorado hotel bookings will pick up.
