| April 06, 2009 | | Maybe it's not quite time to abandon the real estate office | With the economy, and the advances in technology, it is no surprise that some real estate agents are starting to go virtual. Virtual real estate offices are becoming more coming. Some agents feel that an "official" office may no longer be needed. But there are some nice things -- including a truly professional feel -- that an actual real estate office offers.
Cam Boyd, who writes a Steamboat Springs real estate blog, points out the reasons he wants to keep his real estate office around a little longer:
This is definitely a "people person" industry and face-to-face
interaction is imperative. But here at Prudential Steamboat Realty we
enjoy the fact that our clients can come in, enjoy a cup of coffee, sit
down in our conference room and even take a virtual home tour with our
Smartboard technology. We've done so much to increase the level of
comfort and client service from our branch office that I find it hard
to believe the front seat of my vehicle could ever replace this.
While it's true that you may not need a real estate office, it can still be comforting to clients to see that you do have one.
