2008 Vail and Beaver Creek Real Estate Trends and Statistics

Year End Eagle County Statistics for Vail and Beaver Creek shows a 25% decrease in sales volume

Even though the 2008 Eagle County showed a 25% decrease in sales activity, the total still reached two billion dollars in real estate sales.

However, it looks like it could be tough to hit that 2 billion dollar mark again in 2009.  So far, sales volume for this year only reached 33% of January for last year and approximately 25% of February 2008 volume is about to be slated for 2009.  That's one hundred million worth of real estate sold in 2009 in Eagle County so far this year as compared with about three hundred and fifty million had sold at this same time last year.

Based on my discussion with many Realtors, buyers seem to be coming back to the marketplace in Vail and Beaver Creek.  March is one of the most active months in the Vail Valley Real Estate so hopefully we will see some more on par sales volume months this spring.
