Keystone and Breckenridge Open Today

Good snowfall provides for opening at two premier resorts

Two of the premier resorts on Colorado open today, thanks to a little help from some snowfall. Things are looking good at Keystone and Breckenridge, even though some snowmaking was required to get the resorts open as scheduled.

At Breckenridge, Peak 8 is also open for the first time in about 30 years, prompting some celebration. At Keystone, there is a new gondola, which is state of the art: the River Run gondola.

In any case, for enthusiastic skiers, the season is off to a good start.
