Grand Targhee offers skiing in the Tetons, and does so on the Western side -- where 500 inches of snow per year is the norm.
Grand Targhee is located near the Idaho-Wyoming border and is located within easy driving distance of both Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Idaho Falls, Idaho. Many of those who like to ski Targhee make their homes in Driggs, Idaho, where the real estate offers gorgeous views of the Tetons year round.
Things to do at Grand Targhee ski resort
Even though Grand Targhee is located near other towns, there is plenty to do while at the ski resort. There are lodgings available, as well as residences. Additionally, there is a spa, dining, shopping, entertainment and even a limited nightlife.
Outdoors during the spring, summer and fall, there is plenty to do throughout Teton National Park: hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, birding and hunting. Wildlife abounds, and it is common to see mountain goats, bison, deer and other animals near Grand Targhee ski resort.
