Crested Butte was given top honors by Sunset and MSN Real Estate by being ranked number three in The West's top 10 Dream Towns.

Coined an "Outdoor Lovers Paradise", Crested Butte has a population of 1600 locals and entertains thousands of skiers every winter. Crested Butte is located in the mild summer climate of southern Colorado and boasts of mountain biking, fly fishing, small town living and of course, skiing and snowboarding. Crested Butte is about thirty miles outside of Gunnison and can be accessed via the Gunnison airport.

The median home price in 2007 was $815,000. Along with real estate and tourism, telecommuting is big here.
