Enjoying Solitude ski resort year round
Solitude ski resort
Solitude is one of the ski resorts located in Little Cottonwood Canyon. It is not too far from Alta and Snowbird, and a little more driving gets one to Deer Valley.

But Solitude offers its own uniqueness and charm. The ski resort has a village that is designed as an Old European mountain village. The setting is quaint and evokes simpler times. However, Solitude ski resort offers all of the amenities of modern life.

Things to do at Solitude ski resort

In addition to the obvious winter activities that include snowing in some of the best dry powder in the country, there are many year-round activities to enjoy at Solitude. These include such activities as:
  • An 18-hole Frisbee golf course.
  • Mountain biking.
  • Outdoor Weekend Brunch at Creekside Restaurant.
  • Hikings.
  • Cooking classes and weekend cooking get-aways.
  • Chairlift rides.
  • Easy access to fishing, rafting and other outdoor activities.
Solitude is also known for its unique dining opportunities. In addition to outdoor brunches and culinary weekend packages, it is also possible to take an alpine hike to the Yurt at Solitude. The Yurt features a four-course dinner and an amazing view of the sunset.

Solitude is only 20 minutes from Salt Lake City (although you feel almost alone in the mountains), and only 40 minutes from an international airport. There are properties for sale in Solitude Village, as well as rental programs that can be taken advantage of.
