| | July 07, 2010 | | Eagle County real estate sales continue to quietly perk along through the half year mark of 2010 | 2010 will probably not be looked at as a comeback year for real estate, yet with all that is happening in the Vail Valley, Eagle County real estate is slowly recovering far above the pace of the national real estate economy.
January through May and June totals for Vail Valley real estate sales showed a two hundred percent gain compared to last years real estate dollar volume and transaction numbers were up 179% from 2009.
Earlier this year, The Denver Post wrote a story about the thaw in ski mountain real estate sales throughout the Rockies during the first quarter of 2010; this seems to remain the case with the Vail Valley leading the ski resort comeback with strong numbers in April and May.
With several brand new major Vail ski properties now ready to occupy and an opulently reconstructed ski village, the 2010 summer months should show more improvement in transaction numbers and will absolutely be on pace to break the billion dollar sales volume threshold once again.
There are also other outstanding factors that will contribute to Vail's second home real estate comeback. Vail Resorts has announced several new upgrades for Vail Mountain 2010/2011 ski season and Vail and Beaver Creek were just awarded the 2015 World Alpine Ski Championships for the third time in twenty years.
